Description:
This wine, of limited production to little more than 10.000 numbered bottles, and made with the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties, has aged 14 months in French oak barrels and a further minimum of 2 years in the bottle. Of dark purple colour, its intense aroma resembles forest fruits and wood. Recommended with roasts, red meats and cured chesses.
Since the beginning of the XX century, the Huguet family as been commited to the production of wines and cava in his property Can Feixes, a XV century Catalan château of spectacular beauty, located 400 m high in the Alt Penedès. The severity of the terrain and the great thermic contrasts make it possible to obtain grapes of distinctive quality that result in wines of renowned prestige.
In the last years, this wine (99 vintage) has been awarded the Bronze Medal at the Challenge International du Vin 2005, Silver Medal at Gold Guide of the BEST SPANISH WINES 2005 and the Bronze Medal at The International Wine and Spirit Competition 2004.
