Since 1840, Simon Coll’s workroom oozes a fragant chocolate aroma that perfumes the town of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. Probably the secret of remaining in business for so long is due to the care that goes in the selection of raw materials and the production of each chocolate.
The cocoa beans come from Africa and America. Specifically, they travel all the way from Ghana where the cocoa has a stronger taste and from the indigenous communities of Ecuador that produce a more aromatic cocoa. The beans are roasted whole in order to keep all the cocoa flavours. Once the mass has been refined, premium quality whole almonds are added.
The end result is this gourmet chocolate of intense and pleasant flavour. It is an irresistible temptation to surrender to at any time, especially after dinner.
