This sweet assortment includes hazelnuts, almonds, pine nuts and macadamia nuts caramelised with water and sugar.
They are absolutely irresistible on top of ice cream, although they also make an ideal nibble accompanied by a
liqueur.
They keep all the quality associated to Casa Gispert. The firm was established in 1851 by Josep Gispert in Barcelona’s gothic quarter. Primarily, it was a warehouse of products shipped from the colonies. Hence, it commercialized mainly coffee, tea, cocoa and spices from America but over the years it specialised in roasting mainly coffee and dry fruits.
Nowadays, the shop has kept the original furniture and the old wood-fired oven –unique in Europe- where a wide range of dry fruits are still roasted on daily basis.
In 1999, Casa Gispert received the Coq d’Or distinction which rewards the exceptional quality of its products and acknowledges this firm amongst one of the 10 best artisan producers in Europe.
